KERST VOOR IEDEREEN

“Kerst voor Iedereen” is een initiatief van City Life Church dat samen met partner organisaties gericht is op het uitreiken naar de stad Tilburg en omstreken. Hiermee proberen wij te ondersteunen waar nodig, zodat zoveel mogelijk mensen een stukje hoop en blijdschap kunnen ervaren tijdens de feestdagen.

CHRISTMAS FOR EVERYONE

“Christmas for All” is an initiative of City Life Church that, together with partner organizations, focusses on reaching out to the city of Tilburg and its surroundings. This initiative aims to support where needed, so that more people can experience a bit of hope and happiness during the holiday season.

Ouderen

Elderly

De ouderen in Tilburg hebben het dit jaar nog moeilijker en zijn erg eenzaam. We geloven dat het juist in deze tijd zo belangrijk is om op een veilige manier elkaar te bemoedigen en daarom schrijven wij dit seizoen kerstkaartjes met een bemoedigende tekst voor de ouderen in de stad. Ook zijn er misschien buren, vrienden en familie die net dat extra steuntje in de rug kunnen gebruiken. Op deze manier proberen wij als City Life Church de community op te bouwen en een licht te zijn voor de stad van Tilburg. Onze CLC Sisterhood zal dit initiatief ondersteunen door collectief kerstkaartjes te gaan schrijven die ze 29 November na de zondagsdiensten meenemen. Op 6 December worden alle geschreven kaarten weer terug gebracht, zodat het Sisterhood team ze de week erna bij de verschillende bejaardenhuizen kan afleveren.

The elderly in Tilburg have it extra tough this year and are dealing with loneliness. We believe that especially in this time of year, it’s important to safely encourage each other and that is why this holiday season we are writing Christmas cards with an encouraging word for the elderly in the city of Tilburg. Maybe there are also some neighbors, friends, and family in your surroundings that need a little extra support. In this way, we try, as City Life Church, to build the community and be a light for the city of Tilburg. Our CLC Sisterhood will support this initiative by collectively writing the Christmas cards that they will pick up on Sunday the 29th of November. The written cards will be brought back on the 6th of December, so that the Sisterhood team can bring them to the elderly homes the week after.

Leger des Heils 

Salvation Army Cleaning Day

Op zaterdag 12 december, zetten wij ons in door tijd te investen in de opening van het Leger des Heils in Tilburg. De tuin van de nieuwe vestiging van het Leger des Heils heeft een flinke opknapbeurt nodig en samen gaan wij de handen uit de mouwen steken om er iets moois van te maken. Vele handen maken licht werk! De dag start om 9:30uur.

On Saturday the 12th of December we will invest by offering up our time to make the opening of the Salvation Army possible in Tilburg. The garden of the new building of the Salvation Army needs a big make-over and clean up. Together we will roll up our sleeves to turn it into something beautiful. Many hands make light work! The day starts at 9.30 AM.

Voedselbank Tilburg

Foodbank

Afgelopen jaar hebben wij ons veel ingezet voor de Tilburgse Voedselbank en daarom dragen we met de kerst graag een extra steentje bij. Er zijn op dit moment 710 kinderen in Tilburg die leven in gebrek en door middel van een inzamelingsactie, willen wij ze deze kerst het gevoel geven dat ze waardevol zijn. Dit willen wij doen met ons jaarlijks initiatief “Kerst voor Iedereen” door verpakte chocolaatjes en heerlijk warme sokken in te zamelen.

Op 21 December zullen wij als kerk de verschillende producten bij de voedselbank uitdelen aan de families.

In the last year we devoted ourselves to support Tilburg’s Foodbank and this Christmas we would like to continue doing this. There are 710 children in Tilburg that are in need and by organising a fundraising campaign we want to place value on them especially this Christmas. We want to do this through our yearly initiative “Christmas for All” by collecting chocolates and warm cosy socks.

On the 18th of December we will offer the different products to the foodbank and help hand them out to the families.
